BILATERAL BELL'S PALSY: MANAGEMENT AND PROGNOSIS

K. B. EL-SHERBINI

Department of Physical Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University U.A.R.

Ten cases of bilateral Bell's palsy were treated and studied from the point of view of progosis. The changes in the position of the mouth are discussed. A new method of splinting the mouth and cheek by adhesive plaster was devised. Four cases had injections of prednisolone trimethlacetate in the stulomastoid foramen, and in these the incidence of complications was lower than in the non-injected cases.
