THE OCCURRENCE OF ADVERSE SIDE-EFFECTS DURING CONTROLLED CLINICAL TRIALS OF NONSTEROIDAL ANTIRHEUMATIC AGENTS

The side-effects which occurred in the course of 13 controlled trials of new nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are reviewed. Of 1643 patients treated, 185 (11%) reported adverse effects which in 5% of patients led to withdrawal from the trial.
