Osteoid osteoma is a cause of bone pain which, occurring most commonly in the tibia and femur, may often be referred to the region of the knee. Usually occurring in children and young adults it may not be considered in the differential diagnosis of pain in bone and joint after middle age. A case is described in a female aged 65, the oldest, we believe, so far recorded.
