Tiaprofenic acid 200 mg three times a day was compared with indomethacin 25 mg three times a day in 36 patients suffering from osteoarthritis of the knee and hip. In this double-blind cross-over study little significant difference in efficacy between the. drugs was seen. Although no significant difference in adverse effects was found, significantly fewer central nervous system side-effects were associated with tiaprofenic acid treatment
